Isabel Bjork, JD, MS

Isabel serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures, a health nonprofit dedicated to patient-informed innovation in vascular disease research and care. She is dedicated to reform the healthcare system to increase health equity, inclusion, and affordable and high-quality access for all. An expert on regulatory policy and reform, she previously served as Executive Director of the Genomics Institute at UC Santa Cruz, where she focused her efforts on translational research that brings genomic discovery to the clinic to benefit patients and their families, and prior to that, she worked on international regulatory reform in Central and Eastern Europe. Isabel spent her childhood between Berkeley, France, and England, and then attended the University of Chicago, receiving a BA and MA in English Literature, a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School, and an MS in Developmental Psychology from Sheffield-Hallam University in the UK.

 

Isabel joined Community Health Trust in 2021 as a member of the Grants Review Committee and joined the Board in 2023. She is interested in supporting health and wellbeing initiatives that reach all members of the Pajaro Valley population and is honored to have the opportunity to support Community Health Trust’s extraordinary contributions in this space.
