Sophia is passionate about health promotion and equity in healthcare, with a strong commitment to creating communities in which individuals and families can thrive. She has worked in a variety of roles in the healthcare setting, from medical assistant to clinic management, as well as having worked for community-based organizations promoting environmental, nutrition and wellness education. Sophia received her bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University in International Cultural Studies, and received her Master of Public Health, focusing on community health education, from San José State University.
